UM Plans to Build
Business Incubator

Using federal funds, the University will turn a Missoula warehouse into a small-business incubator and research facility.

The Montana Technology Enterprise Center will provide a first home for small businesses and laboratory space for researchers.

A partnership between UM and the Missoula Area Economic Development Corp., the center will be located across the Clark Fork River from campus.
UM purchased the Sheehan Majestic warehouse, located on East Broadway next to land the University already owns. UM’s 2.5 acres will be used for parking.

Federal grants received by UM and the MAEDC will cover the $2.5 million project.
