How to apply for the upcoming 2012-13
UM Charitable Giving Campaign
Nonprofit charitable organizations that provide services in Missoula County or contiguous counties are invited to apply for inclusion in the 2012-13 UM Charitable Giving Campaign.
Our policy requires that agencies or federations applying for the campaign complete the application and submit all requested supporting documents by the application deadline. Each organization must complete an application each year. Applications are due by mid-June.
A PDF of the application and its due date will be posted on this webpage when it becomes available in by mid-May 2012.
The UM Charitable Giving Campaign Executive Committee will review each application and notify applicants directly regarding the qualification of their application.
The application process will require agencies to submit a copy of their 2011 annual audit/management review, a copy of their non-discrimination policy, and an IRS Form 990 for 2011 as part of the attachments. Applications will not be considered without the aforementioned documents, in addition to others listed in the application.
If this is the first time your organization has applied for the UM Charitable Giving Campaign and your organization has not completed an audit, you may ask for a one-time exemption. However, if you received an exception to the audit/management review requirement in the past, you will not receive another.
