|Description: ||Computer Tasks: Enter student nomination information into Microsoft Access Database, update student information as needed, create class rosters, labels, name tags, table tents and completion certificates in Microsoft Word and Excel with information from database.
Class support: Set up classrooms with A/V equipment and course materials. Make copies of course materials, assemble student workbooks and summarize course evaluations. Organize and inventory course materials. Prepare mailings for pre-work and other class materials. Some lifting of heavy boxes (+25 lbs) is required.
|Qualifications: ||Computer Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. Excel experience should include basic spreadsheet construction. Word experience should include mail merges, creating labels, name tags, template construction, as well as basic typing, formatting and proofreading skills.
Fire-based knowledge is helpful but not required: Working knowledge of wildland fire organizations (US Forest Service, MT DNRC, BLM and National Park Service), wildland fire training and qualifications. Knowledge of National Wildfire Coordinating Group and US Forest Service qualification guidelines (Red Card qualifications, NWCG 310-1 and USFS 5109.17) is helpful but not required. Possible to aid in teaching fire classes depending on experience and qualifications.|
