What's new in UM Sociology

 

Scholarships

The Sociology Department is pleased to announce our scholarships for academic year 2012-2013. Interested students should turn in their applications and all supporting materials to the Sociology Department office (SS 333) no later than Monday, March 26, 2012. Applicants must be Sociology majors, and be a junior or senior at the time the scholarship is awarded.

Blumenthal Scholarship--$300

Eloise Baird Boldt Scholarship--$3,200

Kain/McKay Scholarships--3 available, $1,142 each

 

Previous Graduate Student Theses

As of fall 2006, the Mansfield Library began hosting electronic versions of student thesis on their ETDP Collection site. Searches can be performed there by Academic Department or Author. The Sociology Department  also has a collection of bound thesis available for browsing.  You can find previous MA theses completed by MA students in the Department at http://etd.lib.umt.edu/ETD-db/ETD-browse/browse?first_letter=S;browse_by=department.

Advising begins for Fall 2012 the week of March 26th. 

If you don't know who your advisor is, the lists will be posted in the hall across from SS 333 the week before advising begins.
