This is my second year in linguistics at the University of Montana and my second year with the Blackfoot Language Group. I am really excited about this year and the upcoming projects that we are creating for this year.
I became interested in linguistics by taking a class on the history of the English language during my undergraduate period and I fell in love with it. I then found myself attending college at the University of Montana and taking an interest in the Blackfoot Language through my time spent in the BLG.
I grew up inMinnesota right in the heart of Minneapolis. I lived there my whole life and then I decided it was time for an adventure. I ventured out of state and continue my education and found myself in Missoula. I came here with a BA in English with Creative Writing from St Catherine University in St Paul, and an unknown love for the mountains and community here. I love Missoula and all that I am learning here!
