About the $1M Flathead Lake Monitoring Challenge Grant

FL Challenge Grant Progress Indicator
We need more Green to
keep Flathead Lake Blue!

FLBS announced the gift of a $1M challenge grant for research and monitoring of Flathead Lake water quality in December 2011. The gift was made by an anonymous donor through the University of Montana Foundation and requires a dollar-for-dollar match from other donors.

All donations toward the research and monitoring effort will help maintain a data record that began in the 1890s. Monitoring of Flathead Lake water quality helps to ensure that Flathead Lake remains one of the cleanest large, freshwater lakes in the world now and for future generations.
