FLBS is an ideal place for seminars and meetings,
owing to its setting on the shoreline of Flathead Lake with views
of Yellow Bay, Wild Horse Island, and the Mission and Whitefish
Mountains. Dining, conference, and housing facilities are
available for academic and research-oriented groups.
Meeting rooms and housing facilities can accomodate
up to 90 guests. For more information regarding housing, meals,meeting rooms, and availability, send an email to Sue Gillespie.
Some of our facilities include:
- Summer
cabins along Yellow Bay Point provide housing for visiting
guests, summer students and faculty.
- The Lakeside
Building provides classrooms and conference rooms with full
views of Yellow Bay and is available for conferences and seminars
throughout the year.
- The G.W.
Prescott Center holds a full indoor dining room, outdoor dining
deck with views of Flathead Lake, apartments, dormitory rooms,
laundry facilities, and a conference room.
- The Freshwater
Research Lab carries out year-round chemical and biological
aquatic research and contains offices for research-focused staff
members.
- The Elrod
Building, named after FLBS' first professor of Biology, Morton
J. Elrod, hosts the FLBS lecture hall, conference room, and computer
lab, as well as offices for faculty and administrative staff
